Entr'acte

Our Take

Entr'acte (1924) - Rene Clair and the Dadaist gang decided to blow up the rules of narrative and replace them with a cannon, a funeral procession on speed, and a bearded ballerina. This is what happens when you let avant-garde lunatics loose with a camera and zero supervision. It’s a joyous, nonsensical riot that mocks everything from the sanctity of death to the physics of movement. It feels like a high-speed chase through a mental asylum during a lightning storm. If you want logic, go watch the news; if you want a visual explosion of pure, anarchic freedom, this is your ticket.
