Fillion, a longtime fan favorite for the role of Nathan Drake, embodies the wisecracking treasure hunter perfectly. His charisma and comedic timing translate effortlessly to the screen, perfectly capturing Drake’s signature blend of charm and roguishness. Lang, as the seasoned Victor Sullivan, provides a solid counterpoint, adding gravitas and experience to the duo.

While the film’s runtime is a concise 15 minutes, Ungar crams a surprising amount of action and intrigue into its short timeframe. The opening sequence throws viewers right into the heart of the adventure, with Drake escaping a precarious situation with his signature wit and agility. The fight choreography is well-executed, with a clear understanding of the character’s acrobatic prowess.

While the film doesn’t delve into a complex narrative, it serves as a fantastic proof of concept. The set design and costumes evoke the series’ globetrotting expeditions, and the special effects, while modest, effectively enhance the action sequences.

“Uncharted: Live Action Fan Film” is a love letter to the popular video game franchise. It’s a must-watch for fans, and a delightful surprise for anyone seeking a quick adrenaline rush. The film serves as a testament to the power of passion projects, showcasing what a talented team working outside the Hollywood system can achieve.

Hope and Glory (2024): A Fistful of Dust in the Wasteland of Dreams

https://youtu.be/ScyL5W8HZkM

Strap yourself in, chum, for a trip to the fringes of celluloid hell. Hope and Glory, this fan-made Mad Max flick, ain’t your mama’s Hollywood sugar rush. It’s a boot to the face, a snort of gasoline fumes, a fever dream blasted across the cracked windshield of reality.

Official Movie Poster

This one’s for the dreamers, the freaks, and all the bastards clinging to a sliver of hope in a world gone bad.

Forget the chrome sheen of Hollywood Max. This Max, directed by Adrian Martin, is all haunted desert wraith. His face is a roadmap of wasteland woes, his eyes two burnt-out headlights peering into oblivion. This is a Max who’s seen it all, tasted the ash of a thousand dead-end roads. But there’s a flicker of something human left, a stubborn ember glowing beneath the calluses.

The wasteland itself is a symphony of depravity. We’re talking buzzard-circling raiders, psycho warlords with grease in their hair and murder in their hearts. The kind of lunatics that make you glad for a trusty boomstick and a healthy dose of paranoia.

Thrown into this beautiful mess is Glory, a little firefly blinking in the endless night. This ain’t no damsel in distress; she’s a spark of defiance in a world gone mad. And Max, the gruff knight of the broken highway, finds himself a reluctant protector, a rusted shield against the howling storm.

Hope and Glory ain’t afraid to get its hands dirty. It’s a fistfight in a dust storm, a ballet of bullets and burning rubber. The action sequences are raw, chaotic bursts of violence, a testament to the desperate tenacity of the human spirit clinging to survival.

This ain’t some studio-polished product, mind you. It’s rough around the edges, held together by duct tape and sheer bloody will. But that’s the beauty of it. It’s a punk rock middle finger to the corporate machine, a testament to the power of passion over polish.

So, is it perfect? Hell no. It’s got more flaws than a raider’s tricked-out ride. But it’s got soul, man. It’s got heart. It’s the kind of movie that stays with you long after the credits roll, a feral howl echoing in the wasteland of your mind.

One Of The Seven (2021)

Amazing Lord Of The Rings Fan Film!

Two dwarves have been sent to retrieve a magic ring from the elves, but the ring of power has a will of its own. The elven king has to decide how to deal with the dwarves. This is a fan made story adaptation based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s works ‘The Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’.

>Rough around the edges but considering the limitations and the plot, I think this is one of the best made fan made movie I have seen. For example, I like the way they used a narrator for the plot and used the best props and whatnot they could find to make the film very good quality and put a lot of attention on the plot to be worthwhile. We need more of this because Hollywood has gone down the drain!

Raid – Escape from Tarkov (2019)

Amazing modern combat sequences with no happy ending!

Two warring Private Military Companies are engaged on missions in Tarkov, a city overrun with Scavengers. Raid, miniseries combined into a feature film is based upon Escape from Tarkov game. It is a hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG/Simulator with MMO features and a story-driven walkthrough.

> Ezcape from Tarkov shows combat scenes quite colorfully and well, a couple of heads higher than they usually shoot in a big cinema. The abundance of slow motion and the jerky picture do not look very good. Everything looks beautiful and spectacular here. Also in this film, the atmosphere inside the squad is well shown. Squad members interact with each other by transmitting information.

Cad Bane (2022)

Star Wars fanfilm done by very creative family!

Unique all-in-the-family fanfilm. This amazing Star Wars fanfilm was made by a very creative family. Editing, visual effects and all other movie magic was done by Kip. Costumes and masks were made by Kip’s wife Laura. All roles of Jawa tribe and Stormtroopers were played by their awesome kids. A must watch!!

Cad Bane in live action was something Star Wars had never done! Now, this family is fixing that wrong!

Yes, this is all live action. We did some set extensions on the spaceship interior, and we enhanced Bane’s eyes in places where they were too dark. No CGI or post tricks were used to make the face move. That Cad Bane is really there, prosthetic makeup and all. Todo is CG. Thanks for the positive reception!

Cyber-Roman Star Wars (2023)

If the Star Wars universe were set in the Roman Empire times!

This would create a fascinating blend of science fiction and ancient history. Imagine the Jedi as a group of elite warriors, similar to the Praetorian Guard, wielding their lightsabers instead of swords. The Sith, on the other hand, could be likened to a shadowy cult, with their dark powers and secret plots against the Emperor.

The Empire itself could be portrayed as a vast, sprawling entity, with its legions of stormtroopers marching across the galaxy to conquer new worlds. The rebellion, meanwhile, could be a collection of ragtag groups of freedom fighters, much like the gladiators who fought against the Roman Empire. The technology of the Star Wars universe, such as spaceships and droids, could be interpreted as magical devices that the Jedi and Sith use to further their goals. Additionally, the Force could be viewed as a mystical power that both sides strive to control and use to their advantage. Overall, setting Star Wars in Roman Empire times would create an intriguing and unique alternate universe, blending elements of science fiction and ancient history to create a compelling story.

SCP: Overlord (2020)

Secret NGO investigates the home of an esoteric cult on suspicion that they are more than meets the eye.

35min | Short, Thriller | 14 November 2020 (USA)
Quite the idea, actually getting the audience to see what the MTF (A subset in the SCP foundation, a fictional organization) deal with on a daily basis and the master minds behind this really deliver. You’ll love the authenticity to militaristic procedures and want to see more. Watching it all unfold is an intense adventure!

A great example of tactical horror!

>I watched this movie in the comfort of my own home, and I have to say I have never felt more excited to see where a film goes. The story was well-rounded, and it felt more military-ish than many movies with triple its budget. It keeps you on your toes, and the twists were unexpected; which just made me fall in love with this movie even more. I hope to see bigger, longer and more action-packed films from the creators in the inevitable future.
