The Flying Serpent

Our Take

The Flying Serpent (1946) - George Zucco is a wide-eyed, raving lunatic with a feathered prehistoric god on a leash in this glorious collision of archaeology and cold-blooded murder. The 'serpent' might look like a puppet made of moth-eaten rugs, but Zucco’s theatrical madness sells every goddamn second of it. It’s a pulp-magazine nightmare brought to life on a shoestring budget, featuring hidden treasures and a level of mustache-twirling villainy that makes modern antagonists look like cowards. If you want a movie that’s as unhinged as a desert heatstroke, this is your ticket.
