Toxic Skies (2008)

Global virus conspiracy and paranoia

World Health Organization Doctor who uncovers the real cause of an epidemic is the government’s secret chem-trail program.

The acting was excellent, the soundtrack pretty good, the plot certainly original and the whole idea of people poisoned on purpose is frightening but surprisingly realistic. Combine Warning Sign (1985) with Criminal Minds, and you’ll get Toxic Skies. I highly recommend watching it, I’m honestly very shocked that this little movie only has a 5/10 overall user rating. I personally really enjoyed it. Don’t underestimate Toxic Skies, it might be just a small movie but once you see it, you’ll be questioning all sorts of things in society.

Directed by Neil Mcenery-West.
With Louise Brealey, Billy Postlethwaite, Sheila Reid, Lee Ross.

The Experiment (2010)

American remake of Greman cult film Das Experiment!

A group of people, looking to earn a quick buck, sign up for a behavior experiment. But that may have been a really, really bad idea. The experiment causes even the pacifists to turn violent, and there is no one to stop them.

While its extremely fast paced, It has an interesting and intriguing storyline with great actors and some twists which, all in all, made me confused, excited, worried and even gave me an intense hatred for some of the characters.

Starring: Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Grace.

Vikingdom (2013)

A collision of myth, history and fiction!

A viking warrior fleeing the violence of his past must take up the sword and risk everything to face a god of incalculable power.

Watch Full Movie Vikingdom (2013)

The plot is well paced, some fun twists, lots of diversity in the “road movie” locations and everything a fantasy fan can ask for if he just relaxes and leaves the brain out the door for a couple of well spent hours. As for the racism or religious offenses claim some people mention…you must be joking. This is not exactly a great adaptation of Norse sagas but it manages to capture some of their best pulp-fiction plot points and it does not need to be an accurate study in mythology to work perfectly.

This ain’t a Hollywood production…but the creators put effort into the story, the set, and the action. The fight/battle scenes were actually very well choreographed and never looked ‘hokey’. You can actually see the swords cutting open wounds. And remember, this is Live Action…

Directed by Yusry Abd Halim.
With Dominic Purcell, Natassia Malthe, Craig Fairbrass, Jon Foo.

Caesar (2002) – Miniseries

Julius Caesar life with excellent performances!

Julius Caesar is an epic story set in magnificent, ancient Rome. It will bring to life one of history’s greatest figures. The miniseries will not only show Caesar as one of the greatest politicians, generals and orators to have ever lived. It will particularly tell of a man, of his early days, of his formation and assent to power, of his ambitions, anxieties, weaknesses and of the three great loves of his life.

Stylish,visually stunning epic-scale Roman biography!

It’s very hard to compress the career of Julius Caesar into 3 hours of television, but this production accomplished the task admirably. Jeremy Sisto did a fine job conveying both the strengths and weaknesses in Caesar’s character, and the supporting cast (especially Chris Noth) did an excellent job acting as complements and foils to Caesar.

Starring: Jeremy Sisto, Richard Harris, Christopher Walken

VW (2019)

Werewolf and the Vampire!

Two brothers on a road trip to their parents funeral stop at an AirBnB for the night only to discover it’s being robbed by violent intruders.

I wanted to make a movie that could go from one grene to the next without it being so jarring. I jumped from suspense-thriller to mumblecore comedy to horror, and I think it works. I feel the ending is a surprise for the audience, but not in a way where it makes them feel tricked. I think it’s a fun way to approach filmmaking.Joe Price

Brush With Danger (2015)

Action film by Indonesian director!

“Brush with Danger” is extremely entertaining in a very human way. We care about the characters and this is unique for a marshal arts movie that so often relies on a series of spectacular and CGI-enhanced action to keep the audiences’ interest. Also, I do not recall one crashing car or slow-motion explosion. “Brush with Danger” is a “feel-good” movie in the best way.

Directed by Livi Zheng.
