Kungfoolishness - Sonny Chiba says no hugs for drugs!

Legendary actor Sonny Chiba plays himself and offers to be a bodyguard to anyone involved in drug smugglin and trafficking. Surprislingly, this is one violent film with raw, brutal, bone-breaking, blood-spilling violence. All of the butt-kicking of the Streetfighter with the action of 3 martial arts films rolled into one.

Bodyguard Kiba (1976) is based on an action manga by Ikki Kajiwara. The movie starts with a little quote from Ezekiel 29:17. This will be very interesting to Quentin Tarantino and Pulp Fiction fans.

“The path of the righteous man and defender is beset on all sides by the iniquity of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper, and the father of lost children. And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious anger, who poison and destroy my brothers; and they shall know that I am Chiba the Bodyguard when I shall lay my vengeance upon them!” — Sonny Chiba, Ezekiel 25:17
